Yamaha Motor India has launched the FZ Rave, a new street bike in its FZ lineup. This 150 cc model brings a fresh look and simple features for young riders who want fun in the city. It starts at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it a good value against rivals like the TVS Apache RTR 160 (Rs 1.20 lakh). The bike weighs 136 kg and comes with a 5-speed gearbox. Bookings are open now at Yamaha dealers, with deliveries starting soon.
Design and Style
The FZ Rave has a sharp, modern look with updates to stand out. It features a new slim LED headlight up front for better night views, a wide fuel tank with knee grips for comfort, and red-colored alloy wheels that add a sporty touch.
The body is slim and easy to handle, with a single seat for one or two riders. It comes in four colors: Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Cyber Green, and Vivid Magenta. The overall shape is simple and light, perfect for quick moves in traffic.
Power and Ride
The bike runs on a 149 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. It makes 12.4 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of pulling power at 5,500 rpm. This setup gives smooth starts and good speed for daily rides, topping out at around 115 km/h.
Fuel use is about 45 km per litre, with a 10-litre tank for longer trips. The frame is strong steel, with telescopic forks in front and a twin shock in back to handle small bumps. Brakes are disc on the front and drum on the back for safe stops.
Features and Safety
The FZ Rave has a digital screen for speed, fuel, and trip info. It includes a USB port to charge your phone and LED lights all around. For safety, it has single-channel ABS on the front brake to stop without skidding, plus a side-stand sensor that cuts the engine if tipped. It’s easy to start with a button, and the seat height is 790 mm for most riders.
If you want a light, stylish bike for city rides, the FZ Rave is a solid pick. Visit a Yamaha dealer to try it—the price makes it easy to own!
