All-New Nissan 7-Seater MPV India Launch In Q1 2026

Nissan India is making waves with exciting plans for the future, and right at the top is a fresh seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle designed just for Indian families. This all-new model, often called a B-MPV in the industry, is expected to roll out in the first three months of 2026. It’s part of Nissan’s push to bring more practical and stylish options to the market, where big families need roomy cars that handle city streets and long trips with ease.

The new MPV comes at a time when demand for vehicles with extra seats is booming in India. Nissan has been teasing glimpses of it on social media, showing off a bold front look with a wide grille and sharp lights connected by a sleek chrome strip.

It promises a strong, SUV-like stance that turns heads, mixed with the comfort families crave. Built on the same platform as the Renault Triber, this Nissan version will stand out with its own fresh design touches, making it feel uniquely Japanese.

Inside, expect plenty of space for seven passengers, flexible seating that folds away for cargo, and modern features to keep everyone happy on the go.

While full details on the engine are still under wraps, it’s likely to get a peppy petrol option, possibly with a smooth automatic gearbox for hassle-free driving. Safety will be a big focus too, with Nissan’s tech to help avoid bumps in traffic.

This launch is just the start of Nissan’s busy lineup for the coming years. Hot on its heels, a five-seater mid-sized SUV inspired by the rugged Nissan Patrol will arrive around mid-2026, followed by a seven-seater version of that SUV in early 2027. All these will be made at Nissan’s plant in Chennai, in partnership with Renault, and even exported to over 65 countries—showing India’s role in the global game.

Saurabh Vatsa, the head of Nissan Motor India, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm during a recent chat with the media. “We’re all in on SUVs and family vehicles with that special Nissan touch—reliable, fun, and packed with smart features,” he said. “This seven-seater MPV is built to give families the value they deserve, with space, style, and peace of mind at a price that makes sense.”

Nissan isn’t stopping there. They’re also cooking up an affordable electric car for India, set for 2026-27, to join hits like the Magnite and X-Trail.

The company aims to triple its sales here, targeting 100,000 units a year at home and abroad by the end of this fiscal year. With over 28,000 cars sold domestically in 2024-25 and exports hitting a record 71,000, it’s clear the momentum is building.

For families tired of squeezing into smaller cars, this new Nissan MPV could be the game-changer. It’ll go head-to-head with crowd-pleasers like the Maruti Ertiga, Renault Triber, and Kia Carens, but with Nissan’s promise of something fresh and dependable.

As the festive buzz picks up, keep an eye on showrooms—Nissan might drop more hints soon. If you’re dreaming of a spacious ride for the whole crew, 2026 can’t come fast enough!
