Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has raised prices on its premium big bikes due to changes in government taxes that started on September 22, 2025. These bikes, with engines over 350 cc, now face a higher tax of 40%, up from the old rate. This makes them more expensive, while smaller bikes under 350 cc get cheaper thanks to a drop to 18% tax. The hike affects Honda’s lineup of nine motorcycles and one scooter in the big bike group.

These changes come right after the new tax rules, called GST 2.0, took effect. Honda is passing on the full tax increase to keep things fair, but the festive season might bring some deals to help buyers. On the flip side, popular everyday models like the Activa, Shine, and CB350 series have dropped in price by up to Rs 18,887, making them better buys for most riders.

Yogesh Mathur, Honda’s Director of Sales and Marketing, said: “We are adjusting to the new tax setup to support our premium range. At the same time, our smaller bikes are more affordable now, giving options for everyone.” Honda’s big bikes are known for power and style, like the Gold Wing’s smooth ride for long trips or the CBR1000RR-R’s speed for track fun. They make up a small part of sales but appeal to serious riders.
If you’re looking at a big Honda, check with a dealer soon—these higher prices are in place, but festive offers could ease the cost. For daily commuters, the tax cut is good news!
