Mahindra is working on a big update for its popular Scorpio N SUV. Test cars covered in fake covers have been seen on roads, showing that the facelift version is almost ready. This is the first big change since the Scorpio N came out in 2022, and it has sold over 1.2 lakh units so far. The new version could hit showrooms by late 2025 or early 2026, keeping the Scorpio N strong against rivals like the Toyota Fortuner or Tata Safari.
Outside Changes
The test cars don’t show much because of the covers, but small updates are coming. The front might get a wider grille, sharper LED headlights with L-shaped daytime lights, and a new bumper with fog lights. The back could have sleeker LED tail lights connected by a light bar, and new 19-inch alloy wheels.
The body stays boxy and tough, with good height off the ground for rough roads. New colors might join the list, keeping the rugged look but adding a bit more style.
Inside Upgrades
The cabin could feel more modern with a bigger touchscreen for maps and music, and a full digital screen behind the wheel for speed and info.
A wide glass sunroof might let in more light, and seats could get better cooling for hot days. Sound might switch to Harman Kardon speakers from Sony for clearer music. The space stays roomy for seven people with lots of storage, but with nicer touches like better lights inside.
Power and Safety
The engines won’t change much: a 2.0-litre petrol with 200 horsepower and 380 Nm pull, or a 2.2-litre diesel in two strengths (130 hp/300 Nm or 172 hp/370-400 Nm). You get manual or automatic gearbox, and four-wheel drive on some. They might run smoother with less noise and better fuel use.
Safety gets a boost with more Level 2 driver aids like automatic braking, lane keeping, and speed matching in traffic—now on more versions, not just the top one. All cars could have six airbags and tire pressure checks as standard.
Mahindra’s SUV boss said the update will make the Scorpio N even better for families and adventure fans. With over 45% of sales from SUVs, this facelift keeps it a top seller.
If you like a strong SUV that’s comfy and safe, the Scorpio N facelift could be worth the wait. Watch for more spy photos—the launch is getting close!
