Maruti Suzuki Invicto Gets Top Safety Score: 5 Stars in BNCAP Crash Tests

Maruti Suzuki’s premium seven-seater car, the Invicto, has earned the highest safety rating from India’s own crash test program. The Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP) gave it five stars after putting it through tough tests. This means the Invicto offers strong protection for adults and kids inside during accidents.

In the tests, the Invicto scored 30.43 out of 32 points for keeping adult passengers safe. That is very close to perfect. For child safety, it got 45 out of 49 points. In the front crash test, it earned 14.43 out of 16 points, and the side crash test was spot on with a full 16 out of 16. For kids, it nailed the moving tests with 24 out of 24 points and seat setup checks with 12 out of 12.

The tested version, the Alpha 7STR, comes loaded with safety gear. It has six airbags for front, side, and curtain protection. There is also a system to watch tire pressure, disc brakes on all wheels, electronic stability control to keep it steady, and a 360-degree camera to see around the car easily. Plus, it has seat belts that tighten on impact and spots to fit child seats securely.

Hisashi Takeuchi, the head of Maruti Suzuki India, shared his thoughts: “Safety is key to how we build our cars. We are proud to get this top five-star rating for the Invicto from BNCAP. It helps buyers pick wisely.” He also noted that Maruti now puts six airbags in 15 models, from small cars like the Alto K10 to big ones like the Invicto.

The Invicto is a stretched version of the Toyota Innova Hycross and runs on a mix of petrol and electric power for smooth, fuel-saving drives. It starts at about Rs 24.97 lakh and goes up to Rs 28.60 lakh. This rating puts it alongside other safe Maruti cars like the Dzire and the new Victoris SUV.

If you need a roomy family car that handles crashes well, the Invicto now shines even brighter. Check it out at a Maruti showroom to see the safety features up close!
