Skoda Auto India has officially launched the 2025 Octavia RS in the country. The car went on sale starting today, October 17, 2025, at a starting price of Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s brought fully built from abroad, and only 100 units are available for now. To recall, all units recently sold out in just 20 minutes when bookings opened on October 6 for Rs 2.5 lakh each. Deliveries start on November 6, with extras like a 4-year/1 lakh km warranty and free roadside help for 4 years.
This Octavia RS is a sporty take on the regular Octavia, with a lower body (15 mm down) and fun handling for quick drives. It comes in five colors: Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red (green sold out first). It competes with cars like the Volkswagen Golf GTI (Rs 53 lakh) or BMW 330i (Rs 50 lakh), but adds more space and power.
Look and Design
The Octavia RS looks sharp and ready for action. It has a wide front grille, slim stacked LED headlights, and 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with red brake clamps. Black details on mirrors, roof, and badges give it a tough style, plus a rear spoiler and twin exhaust tips. The body is longer (4.69 meters) and wider than before, with room for five people and a big boot (640 liters).
Power and Ride
The car runs on a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 265 horsepower and 370 Nm of pulling power. It pairs with a seven-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and tops 250 km/h, with a sport exhaust for a deep sound. Fuel use is about 14 km per litre, and it has a 50-litre tank for long trips.
Inside and Tech
Inside, it’s comfy and modern with sport seats in black leather with red stitching, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and alloy pedals. A 13-inch touchscreen handles maps, music, and calls with wireless phone links.
There’s a 10-inch driver display, wireless charging, dual-zone air conditioning, and an 11-speaker Canton sound system. A 360-degree camera shows around the car, and a head-up display puts info on the windshield.
Safety Features
Safety is strong with 10 airbags (including center and knee ones), automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping help, blind-spot alerts, and adaptive cruise control that adjusts speed in traffic. It also has stability control, multi-collision braking, and intelligent parking assist.
