TVS Motor Company has launched its first adventure bike, the Apache RTX 300, in India today, October 15, 2025. This new motorcycle mixes the fun of the Apache series with tough features for long trips and rough paths. It comes in three versions: base, top, and a special built-to-order (BTO) one for custom choices. The base model starts at an introductory price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the top variant, on the other hand, costs Rs 2.14 lakh, and the BTO at Rs 2.29 lakh. These prices are special for now, and deliveries start soon at TVS dealers. The new RTX 300 will take on other bikes such as the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, and Suzuki V-Strom SX.
Design and Style
The Apache RTX 300 has a strong, tall look made for adventure. It has sharp dual-LED headlights that look like eyes, a wide beak at the front to cut through the wind, and a big, clear windscreen to block air on highways. The fuel tank is muscular with knee guards for comfort, and the seat is stepped for two riders.
At the back, it’s simple with a slim tail and LED lights that mix turn signals and brake lights. It sits high with good ground clearance for bumps, and weighs about 180 kg. Colors include Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze—five options to pick from.
Power and Ride
Power comes from a new 299 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine called RTX D4. It makes 36 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of pulling force at 7,000 rpm—enough for quick starts and steady highway runs. A six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch makes shifts smooth and easy, even under load.
It tops out at around 150 km/h and gives about 30 km per litre, with a 13-litre tank for long rides. For handling, it uses a steel trellis frame with adjustable front forks and a rear shock to soak up rough terrain. Brakes are disc on both wheels with ABS that changes for different roads.
Tech and Safety
The bike also comes with several safety features. It includes a 5-inch full-colour TFT screen that shows speed, calls, messages, and even mirrors maps from your phone—a first in this group. It connects via Bluetooth for navigation, music, and GoPro camera control.
You get ride modes (urban, rally, rain) to match the road, traction control with two settings to stop wheel spin, cruise control for steady speeds, and wheelie control to keep the front wheel down. Safety includes switchable rear ABS, tire pressure alerts, knuckle guards for hands, and LED lights all around. The BTO version lets you add extras like bags or custom colors.
TVS’s head of motorcycles, Sudarshan Venu, said: “The Apache RTX 300 is our step into adventure riding, built for Indian roads with power and smarts that make every trip fun.” It’s the first bike from TVS’s new RTX platform, and more models might follow.
If you want a bike that’s comfy for tours but exciting on trails, the Apache RTX 300 could be it. Head to a TVS dealer to book one—these introductory prices won’t last forever!
