Ultraviolette X47 Crossover Hits Indian Roads: Electric Adventure Bike Starts at Rs 2.49 Lakh

Ultraviolette Automotive, the electric bike company from Bengaluru, has launched its new model: the X47 Crossover. This electric motorcycle mixes the tough look of an adventure bike with the easy ride of a street bike. It is good for city rides or weekend trips on rough roads. X47 Crossover launched today, September 23, 2025, at a starting price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 buyers. After that, it goes up to Rs 2.74 lakh. You can book it online now by just paying Rs. 999, and deliveries start in October 2025 in India, with plans to sell it worldwide in 2026.

The X47 uses the base from Ultraviolette’s F77 but adds a stronger frame, a front guard that looks like a beak, a tank that looks like fuel, and a clean rear end. It has high ground clearance of 208 mm, straight handlebars for comfort, and a windscreen to block wind on long rides. It weighs about 182 kg, so it is easy to handle but strong. The front forks and rear shock give 170 mm of cushion to make rough roads smoother. It has big disc brakes front and back for safe stops.

The power comes from an electric motor that gives 40 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque at the wheel. It can go from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 145 km/h.

The main battery is 10.3 kWh, which gives up to 323 km on a full charge in tests, or a smaller 7.1 kWh battery for 211 km if you want to save money. Charging is easy with a built-in 1.6 kW unit—the smallest air-cooled charger in the world—that works with normal plugs or fast stations, no extra parts needed.

The X47 has a smart safety system called UV Hypersense, the first like this on an Indian bike. A radar at the back checks up to 200 meters behind you, spots blind areas, warns about cars too close, helps change lanes, and turns on hazard lights for bumps ahead. It has two cameras that work as dash cams to record your rides, plus three ride modes, slip control, and parking help. It is like having extra eyes on the road.

It comes in Laser, Airstrike, and Shadow versions, plus a special Desert Wing edition. The battery has a warranty up to 8 lakh km or 10 years. Ultraviolette’s CEO, Narayan Subramaniam, said at the launch: “We made the X47 to change rides—it mixes new tech with adventure, at a price that more people can afford.”

In the electric bike market, the X47 competes with models like the Revolt RV400 or Tork Kratos, but it stands out with its adventure build and tech features. Ultraviolette says Rs 100 on electricity can take you from Bengaluru Airport to Chennai—farther than the same on petrol. If you want to switch from petrol bikes and try electric on roads and trails, this could be it. Grab the early price—go to ultraviolette.com to book one!
